F1 driver and fire marshal dies in fatal crash

#1
Found this shocking and interesting video today thought I would share. It's about Formula1 driver hitting a fire marshal (who was running to extinguish fire of another car) at 273KPH. The drive hit marshal who died and the fire extinguisher carried by marshal hit driver's head who also died.

This happened in 1977 during South African Grand Prix.
Marshal was so disfigured and mangled that, in order to identify him, they did a role call of all the marshals working that day to see who was missing.

And the fire extinguisher hit driver's head so hard that it bounced off his head, flew over the grandstands, hit a parked car so hard that it jammed the door shut.

Here's a drawing from sketch artist as to how it happened

I have seen it before. In case someone doesn't completely understand what's going on in the video, at first you see the parked car with its driver trying to put out the flames to save the car. The safety crew guys run across the road before the cars were fully slowed down by a yellow flag. First safety guy makes it but the second one who was carrying a fire extinguisher didn't. Tom Pryce hit him going about 270kph. The fire extinguisher the 19 year old marshal was carrying slammed into Tom's head and killed him. Both the safety crew guy and Pryce were killed instantly. That red thing you see doing flips is a mutilated human body.
