Pakistan have picked such a lol squad. Still on with Umar Akmal ....what's the point? it's a tried and failed formula. If they'd gone full strength they'd have turned over this Australia side no sweat. Now they're going to get thumped and have a confidence crisis going into the World Cup.

This is what Australia were doing two or three years ago, packing their team with utter garbage, Boland and Tremain and stuff. That series where they got cunted in South Africa 5-0 was the low-water mark. You get away with picking D-grade players in your side when you are two or three years out from a World Cup with nothing more than the humiliation of a crushing defeat, you don't get away with it whatsoever two or three months out from a World Cup!

You are right. I get the idea of resting literally everyone and using that to give new people opportunities, but if a few new guys perform well here, won't it just cause confusion in selection for the world cup?

Hasnain is a good selection though, really wanted to see him play. Also resting Sarfaraz sounds like a really really bad idea.

Correct, and seriously, you want 90% of your team playing together leading up to the WC. Missing players are Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hafeez and Hassan Ali.

I really like Haris. He always puts a price on his wickets and ensures that he's got a good score at least before getting out though I'd like him to work on his strike rate a bit more. If not for his injuries, he would be permanent member in ODIs.

Imad Wasim is one of the the most underrated cricketer. He's usually a really economical bowler and at least in internationals he's been a really good hitter.

should Amir be part of WC when he has been wicketless in in 12 of his last 8 ODI matches!?
